The annual competition for emerging writers run by the New York­–based journal Small Axe has become a major platform for recognizing new Caribbean literary talent. Past winners and shortlistees read from their work, introduced by Kelly Baker Josephs, sx salon editor. Featuring Ruel Johnson, Stephen Narain, Jaime Lee Loy, Desiree Seebaran, June Aming, and Hazel McShine.
