2015 Children’s Storytelling Caravan

The NGC Children’s Bocas Lit Fest Storytelling Caravan

childrens-mascotDuring the entire month of April, in the lead up to the five-day festival at the National Library in Port of Spain, there were storytelling events every weekend at various locations around the country for children aged 6 to 12 years. Storytellers also went to three children’s homes, Bridge of Hope in Sangre Grande, Cyril Ross Nursery in Tunapuna and St. Dominic’s Home in Belmont.

The storytelling caravan encourages children to use their imaginations and to value expressing themselves through the telling of stories. Their caravan stories are collected and published annually in a book and in the Sunday Junior Express newspaper – supporting the writers of the future!

Note: pre-registration is required for these events.
