Told By the River

The stories in this book are based on memories and fictional characters. They range from suicide to murder. One gives a glimpse of the 1970 revolution and contrasts the activities in the city to those in the countryside. One romance story is based in Tobago and depicts the relationship between a tourist and local. Another reflects the time when children played outside and climbed trees unlike today when everyone is occupied with a cell phone. Some tell of the teenage angst in lost love and also parental disappointment.

Author Bio

Judith wrote her first strory at age six after hearing a story on the radio. She took short Story writing courses with Wayne Brown and then in 2005 with the Cropper Foundation Residential Workshop. She participated in the Trinity-in-Trinidad Playwrights Workshop taught by Tony Hall and the UTT Craft of Fiction Creative Workshop conducted by Elizabeth Nunez. She is a member of the Playwrights Workshop Trinbago.
